Retrofitting a TANK!

I have been tasked with retrofitting 2 old IED/ordnance/mine disposal tanks with RC remote control so not related to CNC, except that i am sure LinuxCNC can output RC pulses to control RC servos and stuff.
I have been also granted verbal permission to show whatever i like so if anyone is interested, i can post some pictures and videos and maybe what took nearly two days to reverse engineer on the existing control as they are fully functional with existing cabled controls.
Also, should this go here or to off topic section?

It's your stuff, and you should show it.  Seems logical to me.

Been busy with this lately, got it, dismantled it, ordered some stuff, no drives for the drivetrain within the timeframe, assembled it again, reverse engineered the $hit out of it, got some of the ordered parts, did some tests, had a chat with them as to using everything from the old stuff and adding remote control or using only the drivetrain stuff and get rid of the rest so we can add new stuff.
This was due to how convoluted was the old control to use, with multiple buttons that each do multiple things through "mode" and "selector" switches, and any button press in the wrong mode messes things up in a hurry.
Much more work for me, but much easier to use as it will be used to train Ukrainian bomb disposal units.
Enjoy.

More pictures of the mess! :)

Yes that is a drone camera inside the round tube with glass window, over 300 British Pounds each! Ouch! But the quality is good and dynamic range is surprisingly good !:)
