I'm trying this too right now with the Mesa 7i76e DIR/STEP for Spindle. Now i have a Debug Error: spindle-pid.do-pid-calcs not found.

I have a controller with step/dir direction and Encoder RJ45E
I wanted to connect to TB 3 Stepper 4 or so.

try changing
loadrt pid names=pid.x,pid.y,pid.z,pid.s
to
loadrt pid names=pid.x,pid.y,pid.z,spindle-pid

I had the same problem but Talla83 helped me out.
Sorry that I forgot to share it.

Are there any configuration to use the Spindle also like a rotary axis on a Lathe? (A Axis, or C)
I'm just a beginner in LCNC and not really understand how it's possible to do, or switch between them...

the name for recent 2.8 or greater would be:

spindle.0.orient-angle

(all spindle names changed by dropping "motion" and adding the spindle number)

If you follow the signal path with Halmeter, can you see the orient pins and values appear on the spindle.0 pins when you issue the M19?
Do you then see those values go to where they need to go to orient the spindle?

I have to look at the halmeter again. Maybe my hardware is not quite correct. I take a HEDS 5500 with 500 Impulse. And put the 500 Impulse on the config spindle setting.
