Basically, as much as possible. Has got hands on an old running mechanical fine MV-JR. It is disassembled for transport and the plan was to fit it back together next year. And now standing at a crossroad, keep the old Funic system 10M controller or change. I didn’t have experience with this old controller and therefore was thinking retrofitting. Your solution looks more ideal at given time. I had taken a quick look at the diagrams before you posted and had an idea it was possible.
Due to this basically as much as you want to share.
Another thing, interesting few Scandinavians in this thread, Danish here.

     Hello, i will receive next week a Mori Seiki MV-40B (year 1989) with fanuc servo motors and drives and i want to keep old fanuc servo motors and spindle motor. In your opinion is better to reuse old servo drives or change with ethercat new models? (i dont know if will be problems with fanuc encoders)
I have already, touchscreen, linuxcnc pc, mesa board7i96s and 7i85 . 
Any advice is very apprecieted. By the way, very nice project you made

Time to dust off this thread with a small update.

I finally had some free time, so I decided to make some progress on the electrical cabinet. We created a dedicated section for the two braking resistors (2 × 1.5 kW) and the transformer for the axis servo motors. We also installed a steel mounting panel where all of the electrical components will be neatly arranged and secured.

A little progress.
After installing the transformer, I'm wondering again whether its power rating is sufficient for three 1.5 kW servo motors.
The transformer is rated at 4.7 kVA, 415 V to 220 V, 3-phase.

What do you guys think? Is 4.7 kVA enough for three 1.5 kW servo motors?

No, depending on efficiency, 4.7KVA is roughly 4-4.5KW, and your motors/drives will use more than 1.5KW at full power.
Still, it will work fine, do not worry about it.
1. chances are you will never have all 3 motors art full tilt at the same time,
2. even then the transformer should survive just fine, although the output voltage might drop a bit, but the drives should handle that,
3. transformers handle overloads quite good, might heat up a bit more, but they do not cut power when overloaded as switching power supplies do.

I think you will be fine, CNC machines rarely use full power and its highly unlikely you'll have all 3 motors at full power at the one time.  For example, the Z axis is only likely to use full power on plunging and then your X & Y are not moving.

Thanks, I think so too, but I had started to doubt it. :)

Before you start laying out the electrical cabinet for a CNC machine, it looks like there’s more than enough space and everything will fit without a problem.But once you actually start putting everything in place, the picture changes pretty quickly, and you start wondering if you’ll have enough room after all. ?Here’s the progress on the CNC electrical cabinet so far.

Would it be better to remove the copper hoses and replace them with clear polyurethane hoses (PA11)?Our main reason for considering this change is to have better visual control of the lubrication flow. With transparent hoses, we would be able to visually check whether the lubricant is flowing properly.Additionally, do you have any recommendations regarding the proper lubrication setup? How should the lubrication system be designed or configured to ensure that it is working correctly and reliably? Any recommendations regarding the type of hoses, routing, connections, or other components would also be appreciated.

I decided to replace the guides with new ones and everything had to be disassembled again.

I assume that I also need to replace the lubrication distributor for the bearings. You can take a look at how the original distributors are designed. In the original setup, the oil passes through the thread of the M3 screw.  I have now put everything back together and installed the new linear guides. In the Y-axis, I’m using Schneeberger roller guides with extended carriages, while in the X-axis I’m using NSK ball guides.
