Deckel FP4A Retrofit

The big screen turned out really nice so next step is to make the keyboard shelf ready and alot of push bottoms:)

Keyboard frame almost ready for surface plates.

Keyboard bracket finished with room for extra bottoms and trackpad. 

         

Used keyboard matrix controller for bottoms on the controller cabinet. 
I disassemble a old keyboard and salvage the controller. the connection points has to be cleaned before soldering wires on it. "the black stuff" on the contact points are graphite with normal traces under.  

Usb keyboard controller soldered with a RJ45 cable. I just used a lot of flux and let the soldering iron moved over all the contact points to start with. After this i pre tinned the wires and soldered them on. There is a bit of cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and sealing left, before its finished. 

Control cabinet almost finished. I just need to install 20 push buttons and connect them to the usb matrix board. I will mount a new keyboard with a trackball also.

Got the lube pump, hydraulic pump, coolant pump testes and tempeary wired up. And got most of the wires from the spindle motor, transmission,  lube pump, hydraulic pump, coolant pump and the spindle brake wired to DIN terminal.
Also i made a DIN rail in the control cabinet. 
I did also some test on the software.
