For reference I cut at 80 to 150 inches per minute, depending on material. Approx 2000 to 3800mm/min.
Optimally cut speed is based on a formula related to spindle speed, bit diameter and material hardness. Or whatever approximation you have to do given the capabilities of your machine.

			Whereas I tend to cut at 50 to 80 mm/min. But that is because I have a 1000rpm spindle and I am generally cutting steel.For reference I cut at 80 to 150 inches per minute, depending on material. Approx 2000 to 3800mm/min.
