Eusurplus.com has them in stock and they are in Portugal, so in 3 to 4 days you should have it there.

Before you make that order, do your drives have inputs for the encoders ? if yes, then a 7i76E might be a better choice.

ah i was just going to connect the encoders directly as the stepper driver can function in either mode (the drive do have inputs for the encoders) i figured connecting the encoders directly to the board would just give me a little more control over how out of alignment was handled. sadly the only output from the driver is an error/something is wrong/ its to far gone to correct signal.

That should also work, and it is more to my liking having the loop closed in LinuxCNC.

Well, that took me about 1.5 years longer than I wanted it to, but I'm finally at a point where I need to order my control card the problem is that the  7i95  I was going to order is now out of stock everywhere?  Are these no longer being made, is there perhaps a more modern card I should now be considering?

I apologize for what might be the low effort on my part, I'm still shaking my head trying to rattle out all the research I did on the mater nearly 2 years ago now. I'm approximately 1 week away from my table only needing a control card, so any help pointing me in the right direct would be most appreciated.

Yeah, both out of stock, can't find these cards in stock anywhere. Which was the same problem I had 2 years ago tbh.

eusurplus.com/index.php?route=product/pr..._62_71&product_id=62

PLUS

eusurplus.com/index.php?route=product/pr..._61_60&product_id=73

PLUS (if you can't be bothered to source from elsewhere... all in the same box)
eusurplus.com/index.php?route=product/pr...59_63&product_id=130

Sure it's not cheaper but its available NOW (probably not too much longer) due to chip shortage + backlog of orders.

PLUS your chosen THCAD card....

eusurplus.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=59_61_67

with a 50:1 voltage divider use a 5V

with 20:1 (or any other lower than 50:1!,) use a 10V

or use a 300v / 10V + resistors for 1:1 ratio

i went to the trouble of having encoders on all my steppers which I was going to feedback to the 7I95 and as my I might be having my controller/drivers in a box a little way from the computer I'm quite keen on an Ethernet solution. i have a some crap POS control card that came free when i bought the steppers, so that can maybe tide me over till 7I95 are ready, the question is WHEN they will be ready to ship again. My fault really, i should have ordered this back ages ago when they were instock. i just didn't really have the capital for it at the time.

you could use a 7i92 with some custom firmware.... on the second port

what does your setup look like?

Do you have a rough schematic / sketch of all your devices
