OK so that's clearly the wrong firmware
Did you flash the 7I93 card with 7i93_svss4_8d.bit?

Do you get the same --readhmid results if you power cycle the card now?

That fixed things..

I now have 7i84 lines from

halcmd show all

but not 7i29 lines - I think that makes sense?

This might help you - the archive the bad file was from had this file size and date -
