Mesa 5i25 + 7i77 + 7i78

I got a cnc drawing machine that has two axis (x and y). It works with two servo motors, a Mesa 5i25 and a Mesa 7i77. I'd like to add a stepper motor for the z axis and make it a plasma cutting machine. I bought a mesa 7i78. However, I have two issues. One the one hand, if I connect the Mesa 7i78 through the secondary I/O port, the power led of the daughtercard does not turn on. On the other hand, I am not an expert in electronics nor software plus, it is my first time working with cnc machines. So, I am not sure how to set the Pncconf wizard up because when I have to chose the Firmware on the Mesa configuration windows, there is no 7i77 + 7i78 option. Actually, I am not sure  if I can configurate it through the pncconf wizard.
I'd appreciate it if someone could help me. Thank you in advance

1. To power the 7I78 from the 5I25 you must jumper the 5I25 to supply power to the 7I78
and jumper the 7I78 to accept this power (5I25 W1 'UP" 7I78 W1 "LEFT"

2. pncconf does not directly support mixed servo/step/dir machines so one option
is to take your existing 7I77 configuration and add the hal and ini file pieces from a
step/direction configuration file (created with pncconf) set to run you Z axis

Nonetheless, I got stuck again trying to configurate the 7i78. I am not sure if I also have to power the 7i78 with a field power.

Since there is no option to setup the 7i78 I tried to set it up selecting the 7i76 x2 option of the wizard and the 7i77_7i76 option. I could not manage to configurate the z axis of the motor with any of both options. How can I configure the z axis?

The 7I78 only needs 5V power

With the 7I77_7I76 option, you would configure the Z axis by selecting the
desired Z stepgen from the P1 tab

I tried to configurate the wizard. Nonetheless, I cannot manage do it. When I test the motor it does not work. Plus, when I try to run the launcher, an error message pops up:

Did you update the 5I25 firmware to support the 7I78?

No, I have not. How can I do it?
