Mesa 5i25 + 7i77 + 7i78

first download the firmware in the 5i25.zip file:

www.mesanet.com/software/parallel/5i25.zip

unzip this archive in your home or home/Downloads directory and cd to
configs/hostmot2

then

sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --write 5i25_7i77_7i78.bit

sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --reload

Thank you very much! As you thought the problem was that the firmware was not updated. Thanks to you I managed to run the z axis. I'll keep working on the plasma cutting machine.

I am not sure whether I have to start another thread or not. As I mentioned in the previous messages, I have already managed to make the z-axis work. Nonetheless, I would like to add some PNP inductive sensors for home and limit. And then add THCAD 5 for the plasma torch high control. The z-axis works with a stepper motor + mesa 7i78 + 5i25. My question is regarding the wiring of the inductive sensors and the THCAD. Can I wire them directly to the 7i78 or do I need to buy another daughtercard?

Sorry, now I have another problem. The program I had for the servo motors (x and y axis and 7i77), does not work anymore. The CR16 red light from the 7i77 is on.
I tried to merge the ini and hal files from the program I made for the z axis (stepper motor and 7i78) and the one I got for the x and y axis but it did not work. Thus, I deleted the lines I had copied from the z axis hal and ini and I left it like it was before the first modification. I am not sure if it is what caused the problem or not. Because I tried to use the pncconf and it does not detect the 7i77 anymore.
I've attached the ini and hal file that were given to me from the x and y axis.

Then it was the previous one but I did something wrong that deleted the content. Is there any chance to recover previous versions of the hal file?

You might look in the ~/linuxcnc/configs/my_LinuxCNC_machine directory,
pncconf puts configuration files there.
