Thank you very much. I had found a couple like these but they were unreadable at best. I believe that some of the wiring numbers match up I know on the x axis I took apart one of the plugs. Will look at some of the other ones when I get back to the shop tomorrow. Again thanks for all your help.

well I know what the signal wires are for the servos. unfortunately, My servo packs have 2, 20 pin plugs for inputs. The plugs came from the original mobo. All of the documents I can locate dont show the 2 plugs, they show 1 20 pin plugs for all inputs. If anyone has experience with these CPCR-MR052G Y0B drives or specific docs, It would help a great deal. But slowly and surely making progress.

Mine was a 3000g. I have actually got a Mesa 6i25 -7i77 and AMC drives now. Been out with medical stuff, just got back to working on this. Several things have come up.
i have no LEDs on my 6i25 but it shows in the pncconfig.
I have 4 LEDs on the 7i77.
Limit switches or at least the label on them shows 110 or 220v
The encoders I put 5v from the 7i77 to them but I show no A, no B, but index shows true in the scope. but dont seem to have any output.
Could be an error in the wiring of the AMC drive, rechecking that.
Thats all for today :(

You can't read too much in to that, PnCconf doesn't actually try to interrogate the card.

However, if the encoder pins are showing up and responding to inputs then the 6i25 must be working.

Ok for today, trying to be as systematic as possible. Hooked up encoders, supplied 12v as required, I get an index pulse = true but thats all. On my 7i77 my cr15 LED is solid green, while cr16 is solid red. never changes. Does this mean some sort of communication failure? Just trying to get some of the encoder stuff working before I hook motor power up. I can see all the pins, just cant get any info to them, or it seems from them.

A 7i77 when powered up and happy will have 4 yellow leds. CR15 Green Lower right Field I/O activity CR16 Red Lower right Field I/O fault. In normal operation CR1 through CR7 must always be on. At power-up, CR15 should be off and CR16 on. The red LED CR16 indicates a watchdog fault, which is expected before host communications are established. Once running, CR15 should blink at about 1 Hz for a 1 KHz update rate, and CR16 should be off. Note: CR15 and CR16 are only present in revision B or greater 7I77 cards.

Yeah the red never goes off. And the green never blinks. So maybe the cable could be bad?

Sounds like the 7I77 is jumpered for setup rather than operate mode
did you change any jumpers?

W4 and W12 must be set for operate mode (Left position) for normal operation

thank you it was jumpered for setup. resolved that, I get all the yellow leds lit, but the cr15 is out and cr16 (watchdog?) solid red.
Linuxcnc ver 2.7.3 while reading posts last night maybe need to revert to older version?

Thats the expected LED display when LinuxCNC is not running or perhaps not setup correctly
