OK maybe I am asking silly questions, but as 12 and 14 are contacted in relay - this 12-14 connection must be on some voltage level?
This is all I asking - the voltage of 12-14 contact - I was not able to see or find any information on posts around internet about stating voltage level
In manual they mention 120V - 1A, but seems to me quite weird to have such big voltage for interfacing - and if this is correct - I would need some translation device? Maybe this "Isolated Linear Sensing IC":
www.avagotech.com/products/optocouplers/...amplifiers/hcpl-7520
or this one:
www.vishay.com/docs/83622/il300.pdf

So to illustrate a bit - if 12 -14 are contacted in plasma torch relay - on what voltage level are then this 12 - 14 line? If it is above 5V I think I will have problem on my linuxcnc computer - this are my worries - and if this connection is higher than 5V what kind of device I need to translate it to 5V?

Sorry for asking so many times - but this is me beeing (maybe too) carefull - I would not like to burn some electronics this is reason I am asking this.

From hypertherm manual...

Normally open. Dry contact closure when
the arc transfers.
120 VAC/1 A maximum at the machine
interface relay or switching device
(supplied by the customer).

There should be no voltage at those pins. You must supply the voltage. It can be supplied by your break out board.
To be careful / safe / assured test with meter.

but this is me beeing (maybe too) carefull

Always good to be careful.

So directly connected 12-14 to my 5V linuxcnc input pin should pose no threat I assume?

To test before you connect test with meter. There should be no voltage there.
When the arc is off pins 12- 14 should be open.
When the arc is OK 12 - 14 should be closed.

Oh I think I understand now - for 12 -14 they have relay in torch that can contact 120VAC, 1A, but generally speaking I can put 5V, 50ma to this 12 pin of cpc (instead so huge 120VAC, 1A), and connect 14 pin to my digital in (5v) on board.
When relay triggers in plasma torch (14 should go to 5V) and I measure this 14 line as 5V on my digital input pin on 5V compatible linuxcnc computer.

I am not so good at electronics so I needed some long talk here ;)

Thanks guys!

Yes that is how the relay should work.

Normally you will get the 5 volts and the input pin both from your break out board, not directly to computer.
What break out board are you using?

I am using BeagleBone with CRAMPS hat. If you are interested you can sheck some more graphics and information about my project in:
GitHub of Machinekit Client for plasma
In next few days I expect to get Hypertherm 45 XP I ordered. I don't know if power of plasma can be regulated over rs485, that this plasma cutter has.
This feature would be nice to have - to reduce power of cutting at corners.
