Set the spindle P term to 0 and you should have the proper output voltage

(P must be 0 unless you have spindle encoder feedback working)

Offset mode true is correct for a 7I97

Hi,

Sorry for the late feedback.
We set P to 0 and now we have the right output voltage and it runs very good.
Than we try to adjust the PID Controller for the Y-axis, the maximum speed is now at 10m/min.

A few months ago I called Hurco, unfortunately there is almost no interesting documentation in the archive for this machine, I was told that the documentation was not well maintained in the past.

Unfortunately I don't have time at the moment to continue with the Hurco, it will take a few more months.

Hello  5_Zylinder , hello everyone. I just bought a HURCO BMC 30 AP and I want to upgrade it to LinuxCNC. Could you please send me the documentation and the electrical diagram? Because I don't have any documentation, only the manual for the Yaskawa servo driver CACR-SR20BF12GE downloaded from the internet. I want to use the original servos and servo drivers and use mesa 5i25 and mesa 7i77 or 7i97. Is your machine working yet? If you could also give me your Ini and Hal file, it would be very helpful. Of course, I can appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone, after a long break, I've started modifying my Hruco again.

A quick overview of the setup: I have a 7I97 mainboard, and I've connected a 7I74 to it to expand the ports.
I've connected a 7IAO (Port 1) and a 7I89 (Port 2) to the 7I74.
I noticed that the 7IAO also has a Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA, but I assume it already has a basic bitfile on it that I could flash via the pins on the chip, but I don't have to if it's not necessary.
Am I correct in this assumption, or do I also need to flash my own bitfile onto the card?

Now for the second part of my question.
I wanted to create a suitable bitfile for the four cards I mentioned above.
What software would be best to use for this?
Since the FPGAs are from Xilinx, I'll probably have to use their software so the IC can understand the bit file, so Vivado, right?
I also saw something online from Efinix, but those are different ICs.
The software probably won't be compatible with them, will it?

Hello again,

can someone help me establish a connection between a 7i97 and a 7i74, 7iA0, and 7i89?
