I have a secondary fully functional system utilizing a 5i25 + 7i76 setup. I tried to connect the 7i84 to the RS-422 port on the 7i76 card and I noticed that if I pull the TXA (Green/White) and/or the TXB (Green) wire out from the 7i52 connector, CR8 illuminates. If both are connected, CR8 will no illuminate. I don't know if this means anything but I thought I'd mention it. I also can't get any response from the 5i25+7i76 setup.

Probably best to to request an RMA from Mesa

Have you tried a different RJ45 cable? Maybe that one has a short in the connector or wire?

Also if you lose CR8 when you connect all interface pins, this could be a 5V power issue on the interface daughtercard (voltage collapses as soon as the 7I84 TX lines connect to termination)

Yes, I checked continuity from the solder joints of the 7i84 RJ45 connector to the other end of the cable to make sure proper connections were made inside the jack and/or plug.
