It sounds like your host IP address is not set properly.
For example if you set the host ip address to 192.168.1.121
you will get this behaviour.

What does the command

ip a

report?

"inet 192.168.1.121/24 brd 192.168.1.255 scope global enp1s0"

You have your host IP address set to the Mesa card address
Its needs to be different (say 192.168.1.100)

Hello
thank you very much.
The Internet host addr is 192.168.178.26.
the Mesacard addr is       192.168.1.121. Why i set the host addr to the Mesacard. That i do not understand. The host addr i can not change in The Wicd Network manager, just the Mesacard addr. I already changed the Mesacard addr to 10.10.10.10 the same: No 7i90,7i98,7i80 board found I put a new Ping and ip a answer in the attachment please have a look to it.
Thank you a lot i hope finaly i may understand what you say

The host address for enp1s0 is 192.168.1.121
so when you ping 192.168.1.121 you are pinging yourself:

2: enp1s0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP
group default qlen 1000
link/ether 38:d5:47:16:f9:a3 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet 192.168.1.121/24 brd 192.168.1.255 scope global enp1s0
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
inet6 fe80::3ad5:47ff:fe16:f9a3/64 scope link
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

Dear PCW thank you very much fore your answer.
now i come bit nearer what you say. The host addr is the one to the Ethernet and the 7i92 addr is set to the adaquat addr.
Please consider i have just one Ethernt RJ45 connector on th ASUS AM1M-A. So i can connect just the Ethernet ore the 7i92 not both at the same time. If you have a working Mesa Board with Ethernet is it possible to put it in the attachment so i may see the differenc and how many RJ45 connector on the board.
In the new attachment i changed the 7i92 addr to 10.10.10.10 netmask to 255.0.0.0.
Thank a lot fore your help

In any case, the host address must _not_ be the same as the Mesa card address

Here is an example for a Mesa card at 10.10.10.10

1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
    inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
    inet6 ::1/128 scope host
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
2: eno1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state UP group default qlen 1000
    link/ether ec:b1:d7:6c:a2:da brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    inet 10.10.10.100/24 brd 10.10.10.255 scope global eno1
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
3: wlx74da388d8d1c: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP group default qlen 1000

Also if you need an internet connection, it best to add a USB-Ethernet or USB-WIFI dongle for the
internet connection, leaving the motherboard Ethernet for LinuxCNC.

Dear PCW
yes i see your ip a looks in 2. State quit different. Believe the netmask is set to 255.0.0.0 i do not no why there is in my ip a 255.255.255.255 that is not true. I do not no what make it. I guess there is something with the Buster 10. A couple month earlier i can make sudo apt-get install task-xfce-desktop and the 7i98 worked but when i installed Busterlinuxcnc new it is not longer possible. Some thing strange happened than this time. Nothing works straight away. It is not an Linuxcnc problem it comes from the debian side. I Installed first debian 10 Mate. Than i wanted to install linuxcnc but after dozends off debendians where installed the last one is not longer available it where fore debian wheezy. So i reinstalled Debian Buster Linuxcnc and there i am now. Is there some changes made in debian Buster Linuxcnc i will load it new and install it new.
Thank you a lot fore youre  great help.
