I have upgraded linuxcnc to 2.8.4 from 2.7.x and now Gmoccapy does not show any controls. Please see following screenshot.
The OS is dabian wheezy.
I also attached the log file.

Thanks

Not sure if LinuxCNC 2.8 is supported on Wheezy.
Can you run a Gmoccapy sample configuration?

Not sure if LinuxCNC 2.8 is supported on Wheezy.

It is.
wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?MinimumSoftwareVersions
(in fact it is supported back to Ubuntu 12.)

And, in fact, the debs are on the repository:
www.linuxcnc.org/dists/wheezy/
In preempt-rt and rtai versons, even.

I haven't tried that. What do you mean by sample configuration?

Thanks

When you just type 'linuxcnc' in a terminal without any arguments, you get a dialog where you can select on of LinuxCNC's sample configurations. Navigate to simulation -> gmoccapy and select gmoccapy. Try if that configuration works properly on your system.

I changed the theme and also changed to gnome from xfce, but results are same.
Randomly though, the full GUI appears. I think this happens when I resize. Even in that case, it seem to be very slow. I do not see these issues in Axis however.
