Hi, yes I did. I was looking for a new message from you when I checked the link above and realized you where referring the the tormach bob.
I'm planning on Xilinix only because I'm learning FPGA type devices, I would likely use a Coolrunner II for this which is a CLPD. right now I'm working to make my own OMM/MI12 for a Renishaw MP10 i got off ebay. have gotten the start signal working off a adafruit trinket M0 and a IR transmitter now to work on the receiver part and read the probe.
I use one of these for my programmer TL866
programs about everything out there (or close to it) Dave over at EEVBlog liked it as well.
in case you wanted to update to a USB device

So this VFD Configuration is next to the Last thing on my list for the Electrical Side.. Then after 3 years and multiple configurations i can Finally get things finished up.
It Prob Would have been simpler to just get an Emerson Commander SK VFD but then would still have to figure the stup.
Most the Connections Are Self Explanatory Hooking to the Hitachi. Just trying to Figure How They are Using the Programmable I.O.
Emerson = Hitachi
T1 = L Lower
T5 & T6 = N/A (This is an E=Stop if Closed Prob Could set it to Normally Open Relay AL0-AL1 on the Hitachi.)
B1 = ? See Below
B2 = P24
B3 = ? See Below
B4 = N/A (Drive Enable Tied to B2 24V Pins 9 & 10 on BOB)
B5 = 1 (Forward)
B6 = 2 (Reverse)
B7 = ? See Below (Solved EA) Set WJ200 A001 Frequency Source to 06 Pulse.
From the Emerson Manual
B1 Analog Voltage Output - Motor speed
Voltage output 0 to +10V
Scaling 0V represents 0Hz/rpm output +10V represents the value in Pr 02 Maximum set speed
Maximum output current 5mA
Resolution 0.1%
B3 Digital Output - Zero Speed (or Digital Input)
Voltage Range 0 to +24V
Maximum Output Current 50mA at +24V (current source)
B7 Digital Input - Local/Remote Speed Reference
Logic Positive
Voltage range 0 to +24V
Nominal threshold voltage +10V
Was able to get a spreadsheet of the tormach vfd programming.
Credit For Tormach VFD Programing goes to rdsi on the zone.
Seems to have only about 5hz of control but progress...

Spindle is Alive Somewhat.. P055 Pulse Train Freq. Scale was the isue... I Have to get all the settings Right and tune it up.. Big Chore.
I hope B1 and B3 are not required cannot translate Emerson to Hitachi. So No Connection..
