Excellent; it fired up well and I was able to activate my float without it throwing a "joint 3 on limit" error. I wasn't able to jog or home my Z axis. I'll load up some gcode and do some dry runs.

Ok, Z can't move yet. Add the following to Z axis section in Hays_Plasma....hal:

net z-enable <= joint.3.amp-enable-out
net z-enable => hm2_7i96.0.stepgen.03.enable

You should also consider changing the homing order in the .ini file to home the Z first.
[JOINT_3]
HOME_SEQUENCE = 0
[JOINT_2]
HOME_SEQUENCE = 1
[JOINT_1]
HOME_SEQUENCE = -2
[JOINT_0]
HOME_SEQUENCE = -2

I am still not clear about homing Z when using the TOMA THC.hal though it should work because as far as the THC.hal knows it is the same as a jog.

2 nights ago i did some editing of the files that Icelander provided, it got to late so forgot to copy them to the USB but here is some info:
-there are some lines with DDT that are commented out in THC.hal, they have to be enabled for THC to work, so the lines regarding DDT have to be copied from stepper.hal to hayes_plasma.hal
loadrt ddt count=2
addf ddt.0 servo-thread
addf ddt.1 servo-thread
Also the lines regarding Estop-latch have to be copied there and the e-stop lines at the end of that file have to commented out.
- there are missing provisions for the spindle in the hayes_plasma.hal, so M3 or F9 will not work, they have to be added.

As a side note, it would have been much easier to use the servo version that is located here and just edit the lines concerning the Z axis and the servo to stepper on other axis.

Ok

Tommy thank you for reviewing my work and correcting errors
.
Fixed ddt component enumeration in hal, don't know why there were not errors when the pins weren't found...

Put all the estop enumeration and logic in, this still will _NOT_ work correctly because we don't know which pin on TB3 the estop switch is connected to. When this is known then changes can be made to Hays_Plasma...hal and THC...hal.

All spindle oriented motion connections (M3/M5) were already made in THC.hal so they aren't needed in Hays_Plasma....hal. I put connections that don't do anything in there as a place holders.

New configuration files attached.

I'll use pins hm2_7i96.0.gpio.(001/003/005) (x max, x2 max, y max) as the ESTOP.
for simplicity sake, the I'll stick with TB3 pin 6 (y max) as the primary estop.
{hm2_7i96.0.gpio.005.in_not}

I'll try out these new files. inputting the addf ddt.0/1 servo-thread threw errors for me, even after uncommenting them in thc.hal

I'm trying these new machine files right now.
