thanks a ton, this form never disappoints. When I fallow that link i see a bunch of options. I'm guessing I need a 64 version as I got the Gigabyte Brix j1900 but i see R12 and R13. Any pointers on which one of these I need.

I Just hope I can get to a place some day where I can provide help to others.
Thank you guys

You can use either the 32 or 64 bit versions. I would lean towards preferring the 32-bit versions when possible. But it doesn't hurt to try both and use the one that gives the best latency results.

The r-number is the release version number of this as minor bugs are found and fixed. The one with no r# is simply a link to the most recent version, so that file links in documents etc. don't have to be updated when ever a new version is made.

I do enjoy learning new things. Sometimes I feel like I have so many stupid questions.

It does kinda get you in. THE only problem I have right now is that things I wanted to do to my machine 3 weekends ago are still untouched.

Personally, with the Brix, and a mesa ethernet card, I would just go straight to 64 bit. On older hardware, I found the 32 bit machine just could not handle prempt-rt at all. (Which is why I bought a Brix)
