I have a room full of such material! for the cnc milling machine I used closed loop DC servo with 3600 ppr encoder and mesa 7i40. I am enthusiastic about the system, you can turn off the engines, move by hand and always have the measure is no small thing. now I'm doing a small plasma with 7i30 always closed loop, then I put photos
after a lifetime of repairing welding machines and plasma, machine tools and more, it's time to have fun at home.

I think even Andy has a bit of gear stashed away in his bedroom too. As a late starter I don't have that much hoarded away!
