NO such thing as wrong. Just different cat skinning techniques. Maybe Plasmac has changed since I last upgraded. I've been avoiding upgrading as I have not had the time to go through my customisations if they break...... Tomorrow I have to cut some parts...
If you have a CNC table that does not do anything smart like Plasmac, you can do a reasonable job just waiting for an ArcOK and turn off the torch. I think CANDCNC does it that way.
On my current plasmac setup, anything less than 220ms will not fire the torch. The resulting spot is OK but still not as fine as what I observed that day by accident. One day I will play a bit more but there are much more important things I want to tackle.
