Very cool JoCo. More people are using QTplasmac on larger machines and adding in this functionality will allow them to getr more out of their machine

Thank you Joco! I'll be checking this out for sure. Last time I cut 1" plate with my 85 I was doing edge starts where I was able, and drilling holes by hand for the rest.

@caretech - any feed back on issues/refinements very welcome. Obviously get yourself a section of plate to experiment with settings to develop a recipe for your machine which will give you repeatable results.
Keen to see how you go so post pics of results.

If anyone wants to use this capability on 2.9.x then I have a targeted repo that can pull the updated plasmac componet from and the needed m159 word, which is in the sim folder.
github.com/joco-nz/plasmac_pierce
You can either compile the component your self or pull the .so file which is compiled on an AMD64 arch.
Cheers - J.

Sorry to post on a old topic but I wanted to see if this functionality was in qtplasmac in the 2.9.4 install or if you need to be running from the 2.10 master? Also, has anyone done moving piercing in Fusion360 CAM?

Sorry, I did see the previous post but it's from a year and a half ago. I guess I should have asked if it had been merged into 2.9.4 and/or master.

new features go into master branch (2.10) so this will never be in 2.9.4
