Thanks I just found that myself, hope that gets me going to cut the parts then I can dig into why QTPlasmaC is failing. I did use it some time back so was surprised when I gave me a problem
Have fun
Tom

Plasmac2 shares quite a few libraries with QtPlasmaC so I imagine that you will have similar issues.

Did you check these hal pins with Halshow?

Could your joint 2 on limit switch error be the main issue? When the arc starts would it cause noise through to your joint 2 limit input causing it to stop cutting?

Thanks Phill
I will look into those things
This may interest you here is a video from today doing what I call center punching routine. I use this to position hole that I will drill after the part is cut. this worked as I wanted the only different is the tool selection in SheetCam??
when I switch to the part cutting routine with a different tool in SheetCam that is the G-code that I have a problem with getting the error I posted

I did have the material list that can be accessed in QTPlasma from it's conversion form the SheetCam tool list

The spotting looked good. You probably won't get the arc-ok LED's on the GUI to light when doing that because of the delay.

Materials 1000000 and over are not in QtPlasmaC unless the current gcode file sets them up, they are only temporary for that particular job.

They both look fine, the temporary materials are setup correctly and they both run fine here on a sim config.

For your centre punching  you should look at this and then you can set up the spotting parameters on the PARAMETERS tab:

thanks Phill
my routine work fine, I am a real beginner and do not want to introduce new things right now. It seem maybe I should change the mode from 1 to 0

You shouldn't need to change to Mode0 unless your plasma power supply is faulty and not emitting an arc-ok signal.

OK Phill
different question, When using other controllers and other software I could turn off the THC and cut with just the G-code instructions and cut parts.
It seems to me the reason for the material list is for getting the THC perimeters.
As it sits now I can run the G-code without plasma on and it will run the complete G-code with out cutting no problem. Turn on the plasma and it stops at the first cut operation, with an error.
