Zero Pierce delay After pierce Only was created by grijalvap
Hi, yesterday I used the Pierce only funtion in  1 inch plate, it worked very well, I saw the inconvenient of having to edit the file to change pierce delay to 0.0 after pierce only.
I wonder if we can have a control to override the pierce delay vaule and make it zero, maybe the same button that changes from Normal Cut to Pierce Only can has the funtions Normal Cut - Pierce Only - After Pierce.

I use a separate material config for piercing and switch to normal when cutting.
Going a bit further, one could have automatic shift to a piercing-only material config when doing piercing only.
And shift back afterwards.

So basically if you select piercing only
1-Make  piercing.
2- Ask the operator to clean dross.
3 - Ask the operators to change consumables (if the case).
4 - Start cutting with 0 piercing delay.

1. make piercing using another material config, for piercing only
2. ok
3. ok
4. start cutting with config for the material you are cutting.

When this feature was developed, the feeling was the pierce delay should still be used. Does it work for you if you try it?

I forgot to mention Stefan (who's forum name escapes me ATM) was the chief tester on this and he cut countless full sheets of 16mm into small parts without needing to reset the pierce delay.

yes it works if you use 2 tools one with piercing delay and one with 0 delay.
I'm using the tool from sheetcam (tempoary tool created from file). so i need 2 files or edit the file after pierce and reload.
what I'm thinking is just press a button and make the Pircing delay 0,

You could just stop using temporary materials and let the materials in QtPlasmaC be your master.

Then you only have to perfect settings in one place. Furthermore for your situation you’d go to another tab, change the delay,  do your pieces go back to the tab change the delay again and run the program. No editing gcode files necessary.

Temporary materials were meant to be temporary, QtPlasmaC and PlasmaC before were not built with a temporary materials workflow in mind.

Nothing more permanent than a temporary solution! Quote from someone on the internet...he/she was bloody right! :)

I absolutely and strictly use the materials in PlasmaC/QtPlasmaC, using anything else is asking for trouble.
I have modified the Inkscape gcodetools to output the required plasmac-feed-rate in gcode, and that was it.
