what you mean is, with this setup you have much less features than with a common OpenPNP machine, right?
but what you win is a more efficient and precise motion ?
this would be what I m looking for...

yeah, i mean no fancy UI. i'm making placement ngc files semi-manually for now with a perl script and a text editor. vision code definitely need more work. and so on...

the main issue for me with openpnp was its g-code interface implementation: it issues commands one-by-one waiting for completion. this prevents linuxcnc from doing any trajectory blending. as the machine has pretty decent speed and accelerations i really wanted to utilize what it can do.

dm17ry. Perhaps a fork from LinuxCNC? LinuxPnP? Those video's look great by the way. I have a PnP at work that I am trying to convert to OpenPnP , unfortunately the recommended motion controller (Smoothie Board) is hard to come by right now . Too bad I don't know near enough about Linuxcnc yet.

thanks. my project is nowhere near as comprehensive as OpenPNP and i seriously doubt i will have resources to make it evolve into something usable by others. still need a few essential things to add to my machine. when i finally make the hardware maybe i will get some inspiration to continue with the software. will see. :) for now, the code i use is on the github at github.com/yur7aev/linuxpnp
not sure if it is of any use for anyone though :)
