Hi there

I'm not actually using the HD version, just QtDragon (standard version?!?)

Comparing with your pic it appears that those options are not available in the standard version. Please refer to pic in third post.
There is no tick box for use tool touchplate & there is no option to set touch plate height (that only appears under the tool tab)

Thanks

I have done another update and everything seems to be working now. For the sake of completeness here is the status quo...

I am using 2.9-pre0-4641-.....
I have set the probe speed in the settings tab (Probe Velocity)

I have set the touch plate thickness in the Tool tab (Touch plate height)

Press the "touch plate" button in the tool tab & the G54 offset is set correctly

Prity much what you said. The screens still say they are using inches but they appear to be in mm.

I was trying to use the probe screen to do this job (as seems logical to an armature like myself) & if something could be added to this screen it could be useful for the skew correction (Edge Angle). Just a thought.

Thanks to all for their help.

Just a quick thought...

What is the best documentation to use. I have basically been using the web as opposed to the system documentation.

Could you point me to the best place to look.

Thanks

The web is usually the most current.
It is a little sparse. I just added a bit about the touch probe based on your query.

Chris, I am currently working on switching my VFD HAL component from minimalmodbus to pymodbus and when I get that sorted, I will work on a non-blocking touchoff routine. You could probably do it in 1/4 the time it takes me, but it keeps me busy. :)
