Hi, thank you for the beta version. Just a small question, the 3.1.4.beta is 193.7 KB while the 3.1.3 is 350 KB. Is the beta full version? why is it so much smaller? Thanks

I don't know about the file size @scotta ?
But scotta made the beta to try and solve my CSS problem. I still have no solution. If you have the RT1052 controller. Let me know if you can get the CSS working on your build.

I am only at the start stages, building the machine. Actually not dealing at the moment with CSS. I was wondering if the beta version ready for use. Eventually I installed 3.1.3. The Machine is DMC2 MINI from here: shariffdmc.com/product/dmc2-mini-cnc/ It needed many mechanical modifications that took some time to overcome.

Anyone have any ideas what's wrong with my spindle. The video clip below shows the lathe in CSS mode. Everytime I'm moving the X axis you can see the display on the vfd dipping , when a lot of speed changes are there it newly stops the spindle it's so low. I noticed this in manual mode also. When changing to another speed it dips slightly before going to the commanded speed. I measured the 0-10v output on the Ec500 and can see the voltage dipping before going back up.

I tried countless hours with chatgpt and changing the spindle code for CSS to work but it's hopeless. I'm convinced it's the actual 0-10v signal coming out of the ec500 isn't fast enough. Iv read earlier in the thread people complaining about the op amp been to slow and changing a capacitor. But I think that was slow for ramp up. Mine ramps up fast when commanded but seems to lose it's 10v analog signal when there is a lot of speed changes.
Is there a way to get the pwm signal before the op amp and run an external faster pwm to analog for testing . That can rule out if it's the convertor onboard or actually remora refresh rate ?

Thanks for tackling the NVMPG display issue!
I've updated to 3.1.3 and the NVMPG display is now updating correctly.
I have encountered a possible bug:
While jogging with the NVMPG It sometimes changes the axis suddenly and overruns the NVMPG display value, leaving a digit to the extreme left in the X and Y position fields, partially outside the field.
The NVMPG continues to work, but on the new axis and the extra digits remain until power cycled.
Attached is an example of the corrupted display.
I'm observing the same behavior. When moving, it suddenly switches to another axis. Is there a fix? Thank you.

I am hoping to find some help on my project.EC300 3.1.3 firmware from scott. NVMPG-StockHal files attachedIt seems to "see" the NVMPG, some of the buttons register but it doesnt seem like they are talking properly. It'll see some of the button presses but the axis selector on the mpg doesn't change even though it registers the changed on linux cnc. The pulse wheel doesn't move and the DROs don't update. Some of the buttons register, some dont. I installed NVMPG.C from scott as well. Kind of lost on where to go next. hopefully its something stupid and simple.Video:https://youtu.be/3qt5uAIqTMM

G'day everyone,
I've just spent ages reading all 235 pages and needless to say, its inspiring and certainly my next challenge! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this. I hope that one day i will be able to contribute in similar fashion though i'm limited now to just writing my own macros!
I'm about to embark on this journey with an EC500. So far I have a CMSIS-DAP Link and have connected to the board. I had to jumper the Boot_Mo and 3v3 pins to get it to read correctly with the PC.
I'm trying to do a backup of the original firmware on the board before I update with Remora. I'm having difficulty using pyocd for this process unless i do it in really small chunks (which i could do then combine it later), is there a more suitable program to use to copy the existing firmware? MCUExpresso i've seen used?
Cheers

I finally got CSS working on the lathe. I ditched the vevor vfd and bought a Huang yang vfd. It had way more features. I connected it through modbus instead of the EC500. It works perfectly now in CSS
