Yes, pncconf does this but it also connects the signals to LinuxCNCs commanded velocity pins (that was the part missing from COlger81's hal file)

You can achieve a similar result by simply disconnecting the PID components command-deriv pins, as the PID component calculates the command derivative itself if its command-deriv pin is not connected.

Thanks, maybe Colger81 and I were using pncconf incorrectly.
It put in the net x-vel-cmd => pid.x.command-deriv
But it didn't connect the x-vel-cmd to anywhere else in the hal file.

Thats probably a bug in pncconf for Servo configs
