The 7I76 uses 2 power sources
1. 5VDC this can come from the 5I25 (left top yellow LED is 5V indicator)
2. Field power 8-32VDC. This is supplied to 7I76 TB1 (right top yellow LED is indicator)

A quick test from Multi meter. I measured the traces under the Parallel tabs on the 7i76....some Volt measured .19-.20 to full 5V.
No traces of power under W2 or anywhere else on the board for that matter

This probably means the 5I25 is not jumpered to supply 5V power to the 7i76

I ordered these from Mesa as a Combo package, Under their plug and go Kit...in there manual they even say its setup.

The 5i25 manual states that the cable power option default setting is 'disabled'
