Yes I'm just using some cheap 12v wall wart out of some junk pile. I can't remember its specs.

Not that it really matters right now, but mA is milliampere (0.001 A). A microamp (1 µA) is 0.000001 A (one millionth of an amp).
Some common SI prefixes:
µ - micro = 1/1,000,000 (type <Alt Gr>+m to print µ on Linux systems)
m - milli = 1/1,000
k = kilo = 1,000 (Observe small k, large K is Kelvin, a measure of temperature)
M = mega = 1,000,000
