John:
I turn the machine on go to Applications>CNC>LinuxCNC>myconfigs>enco-mill, it launches the 3D engraving app. I go to Machine>Calibrate, it pops up calibration page. Tune 0 (X-axis) shows 1000 in all 5 values, I click test and the test button turns off, another button activates, but that is all. Nothing moves, no errors, I've waited several seconds too several minutes, nothing. I tried changing values to 500 on each value on Tune 0 page still nothing.
Can't find any help on the page or help buttons? Reading the manual again?
thanks,
Ken

Still trying to figure out how to test axes, figure acceleration speeds, etc.???
thanks,
Ken
If pncconf used standard conventions in the ini file you can go to Machine > Calibrate and test different acceleration and speed settings. After finding the maximum then back off 10-20% and run the stepper test for each axis that is in the Integrators Manual.

What values show up? It is driven by the ini file so they can be anything really almost... iirc you have to use the jog buttons or something to actually move an axis. I think test reloads the changed values into LinuxCNC so you can test them using a g code file or the MDI or jogging.

No values show up, from the test. I haven't been able to move an axis. I'll try again.

/linuxcnc/configs/name of your config
right click on the directory and select compress then just copy it to the thumb drive.
This way I can see exactly what your seeing on my 5i25 machine.

The first think I notice (nothing to do with you) is when I open up the pncconf file it does not set the 5i25 as the card so it will hose the config if you are not careful... lets see if I can work through that.
It looks like if I don't have the patch then pncconf opens up with a different Mesa card with no mention of the error.

On each axis page make sure you change driver type from custom to 201.
Did you set the axis scale and travel for each axis?

OK, I know I chose 5i25 and 7i76X1 on the config page???
Should I try making another config file? Or wait for you to try and work through this one?
Did I ever mention, if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all???
thanks,
Ken
