Hello.
Please help me figure out how to use the Beckhoff EL3068 module. I install this module but the system does not know this type and fails. Please show in detail, step by step, how I can make this module work in LinuxCNC. I specifically made a separate topic for this, because I think this example will be very useful to many people. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Fork my new repository github.com/rodw-au/linuxcnc-ethercat
review the other drivers under the src folder
write your new driver
build a deb file and install with sudo dpkg -i
Send me a pull request to my repo and I can add it to the repository so all can share.

Hello. Thanks for the answer. I need to understand on the example of at least one module, after that I can do everything myself. I am confused by some parameters that I do not understand. I posted the output of the program, please tell me where and what values should be substituted in ethercat.xml

I'm trying to make a file according to the model, but I don't have enough understanding of where to get some parameters. For example, these are vid="00000021" pid="07500354" . I have not been able to read clear information anywhere where to take them. Please look at my file, there is an error somewhere in it, but I don't understand where.

After reading half of the forum, I found where to get Vid and Pid, but still the system does not work.

I downloaded the xml file from the site to take a closer look at what line you wrote. I didn't find this line. Maybe I changed the file to the wrong one during the experiments.
Please upload the working file back to the site so that I can download it.
Thank you.
