I didn't know that python3-gst was a requirement but it seems it was added to qtvcp several days ago... a year ago.
sudo apt install python3-gst-1.0

I am out of the workshop this morning, but will have a crack this afternoon. What is the command to start QtPlasmaC from the terminal ? (I have never started it from the terminal.)

It should be along these lines.

I have started linuxcnc from a terminal with "linuxcnc /home/plasma/linuxcnc/configs/Plasma/Plasma.ini" and have attached the error files. No idea what to do with this. I suspect it has something to do with python ?

Further to the above, I see the following file "/usr/share/qtvcp/panels/loadusr/loadusr.ui" is not present on the computer, which doesn't help I suppose. What to do ?

That is a some kind of user panel, I have no idea why it is trying to load that...
