Very confusing this. I use LinuxCNC pre 2.9 from buildbot. You mean to say that has the github.com/persei802/QtDragon_hd version?

I''ll I can really say is linuxcnc's version doesn't search for that text.

If I you run linuxcnc from the terminal it will tell you where it found the files from.
I bet it's finding some local files rather then the default linuxcnc's files.

the editor for this forum sucks big time. Can not insert quotes or code without it turning into a mess.

Can not even post the output from LinuxCNC starting because there are too many links in it, well there are exactly 0 links in it.

In attachment the output from LinuxCNC starting up on my machine.

Click on "source" on the upper left of the editor, much better with that.

I do that all the time. But as soon as I use a [code] or something like that everything screws up and all the end [/] codes end up at the end of the text.

linuxcnc master version (2.9) has an older version of qtdragon_hd as well as the original qtdragon.
Both of these differ slightly from Jim's versions.

This shows the two versions - with different color styles:
linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/gui/qtdragon.html#_introduction

by the way using control V works better then the mouse for coping in the forum. - it sucks for sure
