Hi andypugh & everyone else,
I have played around with the idea of Chip reading the manuals. In the attachment i send you a preview of the first couple languages.

Please have a look and tell me, what you think. I will change it according to your feedback.

My thoughts so far are, safety glasses not needed here, so i removed them.
The text is the same Style as the LinuxCNC Banner.
Also i changed Chips eyes to look into the book.
I think the logos are going to be present in the dock in the handbook tab, rigth? so they are qute small. To have the text readable even as a small logo i didn't put it on the book, instead on the banner in front of Chip.

I am curious about your feedback,
since then,
Alex

I like them, though the language should probably be written in the language and character set of the language, so "Français", "Deutsch" etc.

Hello guys,
as promised i spend some time with chip.
Your considerations regarding flags also got me thinking about the Book Cover, as political parties are also often represented by color schemes.
I created the Text files for each Language (with help of Google translate, so please give feedback if something is misspelled) and also played around with chip holding different colored books and using reading glasses, since i think it fits to the scheme of the other Icons.

Please let me know, how you feel about it, if i should make chip hold a book and which colour your prefer. Also if you have a suggestion for a different color please let me know.
Cheers, Alex

I like the reading glasses.
I think that the pale blue book cover probably gives the best visibility in a small icon. (It's the most different from the penguin-colour and the background)
