it is to try with my configuration, my VDF is an ALTIVAR 31, you can see it here in action:

at the moment, I am trying to integrate the "orient" component without much success so far

ok thats different to my process.

i use the vfd only for start stop, regulate the frequency and look if it at speed.

i use a abz encoder for indexing, speed OR position for offset turning.
i dont position the spindle BUT i can turn the spindle very slow and stop at a angle with a error of bout 5 degree..

my motor is a small 3 phase asynchron drive.

i use my emco compact 5 cnc for turning small parts.

my biggest problem is.. i need my vfd in modbus mode... not in mitsubishi protocol...

but i dont know how to read or write a holding register... i dont know how to calculate the registers... when i want to read register 40008 or 40009... whats the hex?! with 0x0007,0x0008,0x0009 i get nothing....

i must sniff to the modbus when mach3 is running to get a example of traffic...
