Remora - ethernet NVEM / EC300 / EC500 cnc board

I don't believe the YouTube videos showing how easy it is to remove BGA chips! The RT1052 is removed from the board but unfortunately the board will now be sacrificial  and a couple of the pads and tracks didn't survive. Still useful for reverse engineering the circuit.

 

Would people be interested / willing to donate a few dollars to purchase sacrificial controller boards? I'm up for a new EC300 to test software on and I cannot now bring myself to remove the chip from the NVEM board I've been loaned.

With the EC300 out of action, I took the plunge with the loaned NVEM board. I took a copy of the firmware and did a compare with the EC300 firmware. They are a byte for byte match!

If the firmware is the same is the underlying circuit for these boards the same as well...I hope so!
