Clutching at straws, but try renaming the file to m112 (lower-case)

Open up a terminal and say:
cd emc2/nc_files
ls
./M112

Renaming to 'm112' gave me a error message 'unknown m code used'

I am about to give up on this!

Not sure I understand what you are asking me to do? Do you want me to send the M112 file to this forum?

Yes, just add .txt to the M112 file and attach it to a message so I can look at it.

Well, I found that eog didn't like the /home/andypugh/ sort of path, and that standalone it needed ~/emc2/nc_files
That at least got m112 working as a command-line command.

The m112 file needs to be in the directory pointed to by program_prefix in the INI file too.

Having said both those things, I can't get it to work either. (with 2.4.3). I am going to update the VM to 2.4.7

Hi

If the files you sent in the zip are the ones you are using, there are 2 things wrong

1) M112 is not executable, needs to be chmod 755

2) M112 was written with a windoze editor, it is littered with ^M charactors

Rectifying this produces the result you wanted

regards
