Well that's embarrassing... Yep the connector vibrated out on the jiffy box. Sorry for wasting your time. Youd think as a mechanic I'd look for the obvious things first like I do with cars... lol, live and learn. Now to sort this thc and start cutting. Thanks again guys.

Settings page, most of the stuff is at default, so nothing works.
Voltage scale and voltage offset must be set, there is a calculator somewhere...
Did at any point in time the LinuxCNC start with a disabled/powered off/disconnected Mesa board?
I recall that causing the preferences file to mess up and return to defaults, check the config folder, might have a pref file with .back at the end so you can copy and paste stuff to the existing pref file.

On topic, do you have a backup of your config on a USB somewhere?
Please do make some copies and put them in a safe place, any hiccup with the hard drive will render the machine useless and requires a lot of time to set up again.

Might have started up linux cnc with the table off before.. I assume that would be without the mesa board. I will back up the config. I'll have a look at the config folder. I will back up the config file also.

Cant find any .Bak files that are older than the new backups I have done. I guess I'll have to start from scratch.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your config that requires rebuilding from scratch. That will be painful!
What thickness and type is the material?
What is the cutting speed in the gcode?
I don't understand why you are overriding it by 150% I never did that.
What is the torch voltage on screen when cutting.
Perhaps the THC has been disabled in the gcode.
Please share a cut file..

From the plasmac docs, are any of these gcodes in the file?

G-code THCTHC may be disabled and enabled directly from G-code, provided the THC is not disabled in the THC Section of the  MAIN Tab , by setting or resetting the motion.digital-out-02 pin with the M-Codes M62-M65:
  • M62 P2
will disable THC (Synchronized with Motion)
  • M63 P2
will enable THC (Synchronized with Motion)
  • M64 P2
     will disable THC (Immediately)
  • M65 P2
     will enable THC (Immediately

It's on every material.. I have never seen the torch move while cutting. Trying to cut 1.2mm zincanneal mild steel or 2mm aluminum.

Can you post the file created from the BACKUP CONFIG button in the SETTINGS tab.
