BTW, I made tar packages containing the same XML and description files as in the "5i25 firmware XML files for pncconf" thread. These have the file permissions fixed. To unpack, download the files (say to ~/tmp, where ~ is your home directory). Then
$ cd /lib/firmware/hm2/
$ sudo tar xzvf ~/tmp/5i25_xml.tar.gz
...
$ cd /usr/share/doc/
$ sudo tar xzvf ~/tmp/5i25_desc.tar.gz

Hmm, seems like you need to fix the forum permissions to allow .bz2, .gz and .pncconf attachments?

The .gz extension is allowed, I'll check but I think .pncconf is too.

Thanks for the link. I tried to attach bz2 files and when it didn't work I just assumed that .gz wouldn't work either. I don't know why I failed to attach a .pncconf file yesterday; it worked today. Perhaps I was just too tired. :)

It wasn't you, I added the .pncconf extension after reading your post and realizing that it was not there.
