Hey It seems that I also have encountered this problem... Can you please tell what exactly needs to change sii eeprom file or the compilation of ethercat master with eoe disable option. If possible direct me to the suitable solution.

Install IgH Ethercat master from gitlab.com/etherlab.org/ethercat (standard site)
Follow installation procedure and when you do the "./configure " command,
make sure to use "./configure <other options>  --disable-eoe"

I recently did this and my exact command was:
"./configure --sysconfdir=/etc/ --disable-8139too --enable-userlib --enable-generic --disable-eoe"

Sorry for the late response. If our problem is same, this is what I changed in the sii file from my Inovance driver. I changed that part to ‘04’ and then wrote it back to the driver after making the change.

I can confirm that Innovance SV660N works by recompiling the IGH etherlab master stable-1.6 branch and installing on a fresh debian bookworm installation.
The configuration options I have used for the etherlab master are:
./configure --sysconfdir=/etc/ --disable-8139too --enable-userlib --enable-generic --disable-eoe

Thank you nanowhat.

I want over to etherlab's gitlab to request EoE could be disabled in the Ethercat.conf file but I then found that this was already a bug scheduled to be fixed in their next release (1.7) Issues 176 and 157 refer with the latter referring to linuxcnc and this exact drive.

gitlab.com/etherlab.org/ethercat/-/issue...MTY3MDcyMTkwfQ%3D%3D

It still seems wrong to me that disabling a feature requires recompiling...

I looked at that and unfortunately it is code sprinkled around everywhere.
So it will be a bit of surgery in the etherlab code I am afraid.
Besides, it seems eoe does work, it is just it doesn't work with lcec.
There should be some calls in lcec to process eoe frames that isn't there.
So one can always argue where the problem is. I know I can only fix
it on a PowerPoint level, not in code.

I don't think EoE is normally a problem, perhaps just for this drive. Now they know a bug is there it will get fixed but I doubt you'll see it for a while.

It's a general problem with EoE in the drive.
kworm has looked at it in some depth and submitted bugs/issues.

I think it would be good to have EoE working with lcec.
Short term it can be good to disable the eoe server parts,
long term it is good if it works.
