				Display slightly too big was created by 10K

				I upgraded from LinuxCNC 2.8 to 2.9.
Now my display does not quite fit the screen. It did before. See attached photo.
Gmoccapy is configured for screen1=fullscreen.
Any ideas?
I realize I can run a windowed version, and set the size. I'd rather have fullscreen, though.

				What resolution has your screen? You say a windowed version fit in your screen area and as soon as you maximize the gmoccapy window it does not fit any longer? Did I get that right?
Which Debian version have you running? I noticed some odd thinks in Bulleye regarding the maximizing..

				That is really strange, Does you screen only has 1024x768 pixel?
Can you post a photo where gmoccapy is running as window as small as possible?

				OK. It's even stranger.
Resolution is 1024 x 768
Running Bookworm rt
Running LinuxCNC v2.9
When I load LinuxCNC and go to setup, Fullscreen is already selected and screen is too wide to fit (photo 1 - Initial)
When I click Windowed, screen changes size and fits (2 - Windowed)
When I click Fullscreen, screen changes size, but now it fits! (3 - Fullscreen)
If on the second step, I click Maximized instead of Windowed, screen is still too wide. However, when I go back to Fullscreen, it resizes correctly.

				Are you using a VGA cable from PC to monitor?
Do an "auto adjust" if that is the case, on the monitor there should be a button for that.

				I think I have somewhere also an old screen with 1024x768 so I will test, but IMHO it could be that the following values do cause that.
x_pos = 0.0
y_pos = 24.0
width = 1015.0
height = 750
This are the settings in your preference file, so you should see this values also on the settings page.
May be the Y value is take in account some where, I need to check, but not bevor tomorrow

				I changed the numbers to 0,0,1024,768 under "Start of window". I cycled through that option (which worked correctly as expected), and then back to "Start as fullscreen" (which showed the display correctly, as described above). I exited LinuxCNC and restarted. It still exhibits the same behavior where the screen is slightly too big.  So, the size of the windowed screed does not seem to affect the strange behavior.

				I think I have the same problem. The monitor has a resolution 1366x768 . I am working with AXIS gui. But this monitor is only temporary.

				try a different window manager if you can - might be a bug with the manager.
