In the absence of the team.

Can you type ping from a terminal. ping 10.10.10.10 to see if you get a response from the card

The error seems to show line 7 of the hal file.

So post your ini and hal files.

]The reason LinuxCNC can’t come up is the missing connection to your mesa card.

You tried to condfigure your network with eth0 as the device name. But it is enp3s0 If you change eth0 to enp3s0 your should be able to connect to your card (10.10.10.10).
Try a ping 10.10.10.10 first if this is successful it LinuxCNC should start. Or at least fail ant another point

One other thing to try, revert the changes you made, then try launching linuxcnc with your wifi turned off.

If it works, then we can proceed with helping you get that resolved. It's a sometimes common issue.

I included pictures of the leds on the side of the board. After I messed with the network stuff I don’t have any of the lights on the side of the board on. I don’t know if that’s bad or good lol but I now get a ping back.

I have seen PCW mentioning the graphical network tool wicd you are using is useless and he suggested installing another graphical network manager. I will say this was so simple in Mint the other day.

This thread appeared with a search for wicd
