Which version of Debian did you go with?

MX21, Debian 11.7, Debian 12 or something else?

The only supported OS is DEBIAN 12.

If you follow the instructions in the link I providecan you will be good to go.

sorry still working how to use this forum.

Yes I see that in the instructions. This post is for MX21 that's why I asked. One of the previous replies said everything was working but did not say which version they have working.

In any case I will give this a go. I could use a little help getting going.

I looked for Debian 12 and the page I found did not say Debian 12 or Bookworm anywhere. Which page on Debians website has 12 so I can try this out. Thank you.

Got stuck.

on step: Install QtPyVCP

I do not have the knowledge to put the 3 repositories in the directory as described. And a quick google search to get the instructions has confused me further.

Thank you for your help. That spot could use some additional instruction for beginners like myself. Also adding numbers to the steps would make this much easier to communicate the exact spot where myself or any other person is getting stuck.

just download the 3 Deb files and the instructions in that drive folder.
typing
dpkg -i deb-name.deb

installs  a Deb file.,

There is a Linux shortcut where you can type enough of the file name to be unique and hit tab which auto complete the command for you.
to paste into the terminal either right click or control_shift_V

Thank you. When I click on the the links in the instructions in that section (http://repository...) nothing happens. Is that correct?

Thank you all for the continued help.

I made it through all the steps and probe basic is not visible in the apps section.

I did a search in the App launcher and found nothing.

something went wrong.

I did have issues the the repos links not working and rodw provided a link to a google drive that had them. Those reps had a different name and so I had to manually change the subsequent command lines to look for those specifically.

But it all seamed to have worked just fine in the command line I did the open terminal here as instructed for the correct portions of the install.

So I'm not sure where I went wrong. I am going to do a reboot and see if anything changes. Your ideas on what I should try next would be helpful.
