Hi Snoozer,
would you be able to photo the wiring for the hydraulics and lube systems. makes it heaps easier than trying to trace everything!. On the hyperloop I'm working out how we can bypass pins 20 and 21 signals, do you think if put a jumper between them it will give it the correct signal or do they require 24v ,
Cheers
Marcel.

i don't think you need to connect them at all (for testing), it is a fault signal to your controller. When no faults exits, Circuit between pin 20, 21 will be closed. when you have a drive fault, pins 20 and 21 will be open circuit. I would not connect anything for testing, then connect together with axis drive fault circuit (to control) after testing. Will have to get the Hydraulic pic tonight.

My pile of axis drives. Out of these 9 drives, i only managed to get 3 operational. The other 6 have various issues. 2 were full speed as soon as the drives were enabled, 2 show over volt over current led's and the other 2 have control curcuit shorts to ground. Would love to get 5 out of the 9 running.

The 2 that run when enabled most probably have faulty power stage transistors ( or mosfets or IGBT ), that can easily be changed. Do you have a soldering iron and a DVM ?

Hi Tommy,

I dont have alot of electronics gear, but i do have them. Im pretty new to drive electronics, trying to read as much as i can to get an understanding of what im looking at. Its definately nice to have a reference running drive to check components.

If you have any suggestions on what to look for, i would be very greatfull.

Im happy to post pics (of drive electronics) if that helps anyone familiar with my drive components.

Cheers

Matt

Most probably the parts that are screwed down to the heat sink should be 4 of the same for DC drives and 6 of them for 3 phase drives. Some have just a module so it is easier to swap but much more expensive.

Correct Tommy, thanks for the tip. Will definately have a look at them. Maybe a simple question, but do you know the function of the diodes between the transistors?

I would suggest putting the multimeter on Diode-check mode an then check every combination of the three pins on the transistors in both directions (6 measurements) and be very suspicious of any that show different numbers to the good drives.
