The transfomer seems to be there to account for connection to either 400V three-phase or 220V 3-phase.
There are a couple of single-phase outputs too.
I think you would need to look at what happen downstream of that transformer to work out if a single-phase rework is feasible.
40kW is a lot of power to generate with a convertor.

This is the first time i see 3x220v input with 3x400v output, it is usually the other way round.

I agree, ill do some more investgating today, i know the 400v goes to the spindle motor from the contactor but im not sure where the other 220 3ph goes. Ill poke aroubd today

Check out the Siemens power supply module. It provides the DC bus power to the Siemens 611 drive modules. Post the model number if you can
The power supply is a clever one. Sensitive to phase sequence as well as supply voltage. It is not just a rectifier with caps, it is actually an active igbt rectifier with regenerating capability.
This means that it can consume energy from the DC bus during spindle deceleration and push it back into the supply, making it much more efficient.
THis also causes problems for diesel generators as they are not designed to be driven by its load and they normally cut out or trip.

Hi
The E/R module (F/B module) is the power supply. It requires 400 VAC 3phase. There is selector switches for 415V and 480V, but 400 is the minimum. It is a regenerative power supply.
search your part numbers on the siemens site for the manuals: mall.industry.siemens.com/
Each axis drive and spindle drive is fitted with a "control board" You need the "Universal" one, it is the only one that supports analog control.
