remap subs need to go in the folder 'remap_subs'

the pyvcp panel comes from the 'custompanel.xml'

I don't quite remember how that worked with the tool number/ position but it all comes from the tool change command and corresponds to the tool number displayed in the Linuxcnc gui

net tool-number iocontrol.0.tool-prep-number => toolchanger.toolnumber
net tool-oldnumber iocontrol.0.tool-number => toolchanger.currenttoolnumber

edit:
Maybe Clive can fill you in on the details as I don't actually have a toolchanger nor a cnc lathe for that matter.

Just to be clear, you will need to add these :
 => toolchanger.enable => stepgen.2.enable

to your line:
 net estop-out => iocontrol.0.emc-enable-in

otherwise there won't be much happening with your toolchanger.

Hi
I have managed to get the tool changer to rotate.
But it doesn't reverse onto the pawl it goes forward for some reason. How does this change?
If you change max velocity on the gui it messes up the rotation completely is this normal?

Maybe you could elaborate a bit. How did you get it to rotate? By toolchange command?

edit: This is what Clive wrote in his thread.

I notice that in the side panel there is a jog control according to the docs it is only used to set the reverse to lock the turret by adjusting and then putting the setting numbers into the comp. The jog buttons for/back don't move the turret to the next tool it is only for getting the numbers in the comp correct.

Hi I think my problem is something else.
I just tried a new stepconfig wizard to get the A axis moving to see if It reverses in that.. it now doesn't so something like a signal maybe?? Hope you can follow me..
Any ideas where to look??

Basically I have redone a stepconfig to test
to use jog buttons to see if it rotates back an forward on keys it now only rotates with both jog buttons rotating same direction

I have made changes in boxford hal

The motor rotates the same direction for forward jog and backward jog? If so that could mean that the DIR signal is not reaching the motor drive.

If you create a new configuration then no it should not affect your motor setup.
