the 7i77 converts pwm to analog output. so thats what you want.

Thanks for these rapid responses. Since I have the 6 encoders on the 7i77, do I no longer have extra pins for use as the PWM outputs? I don't see any available pins on I/O connector 3 offering analog or PWM output. I don't see any on connector 2 either for that matter.

I should note that "number of PWM generators" is set to 0 and greyed out so I can't adjust it.

Only 1 7i77 correct and I don't see any smart serial tabs.

Actually I had it at 6 encoders/3 channels but the results seem to be the same with 12/6. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. :/

yes either one should work 6 / 3 is what you actually want for using just one 7i77.

can you open a terminal and type pncconf and try again ? it may give an error message or something...

Looks exactly the same as before. If they're of interest, I'll attach another screenshot of the connector 3 tab and the pncconf file itself. Thanks,
Max

well I guess the pncconf file isn't allowed.
