PlasmaC Fiber laser 1Kw head height control + auto focuas was created by taloot

				hello guy,
i was busy recently building fiber laser machines. and i got a nice experience on them,,, and i have clear view of what i need
1 the laser cutting head have autofoucas function + torch height control,,, similar to plasma,, but the head have MCU that report some values back to the motion controller ( head distance (capacitance technlogy) , head temperature , gas pressure )
i ask the manufacturer for the protocol,,so i can write it back into the plasmaC sources,
i have full time programmer that can fix the changes, and i need mr philic supervision of those changes,,
the cheapest Chinese cutting board is about 1500$ Linuxcnc million time better... and i guess market getting bigger daily for fiber laser,,
in attachment there is the head datasheet,, but they dint disclose anything there,,, but i can sinff it
important notes,,
capacitance sent over rs485 and controller move the head up and down ,, this is the most important now
probe routine,, in laser no probe is needed as u can read the capacitance and know where is the head

Are you asking if LinuxCNC can read RS485 in realtime?
There are ways, but you will need to do a little bit of work.

yes no problem im up to it, it works well in Chinese controller
AUTO foucas done inside the head,, but the capacitance distance also send back to controller

How many Kw is the fiber laser? What thickness steel plate will it pierce?

				1KW
max piercing 12mm ( u can do 14mm )with o2
1000w is the most feasible power

That is pretty interesting. Why is 1000w the most feasible power?
Also what does something like that cost? I very much would like to build my own laser cutter. Fiber looks like the most user friendly laser power source. CO2 requires mirrors and such and I have herd nasty stories of people being killed by the power supplies.

check the cutting speed and evaluate it
for price i have distribution price for source and head, i can help you getting one ( about 10000$) for head and source and cutting software
find the cutting speed attached

				you will (super love it)
you will enjoy the mirror finish also tab and slots clear like glass,,,
plasma is good for salvage and scrap cutting,,,
it consume only 4kw of power
my plasma consume 25kw

What cutting software comes with it?
I would be much happier with a laser source that can cut up to 20mm carbon steel. What size fiber source would I need? 3Kw?

for software there 3 vendors for professional grade and 2 for amateur
cypcut
au3
ospry
weihong
and for cheap there is
trocent
ruidia,
3kw can cant very fast on thin metal,,, but i suggest for high thinknness to buy fine plasma also chinese with gas and protected torch similar to xpr
www.jscut.cn/product/205_374
also the have cheaper model cost 2500 for 200a plasma ,,, its very good and clean i have sample cut
i use plasma for thick plate and for 10mm and less laser .. both machines less cost than hypertherm xpr
