				I just did it again. This time again a conditional loop:
C = -1
while [x GT Y]
x = [x-C]
So the thing looks until a number drops below another one, but it starts higher and increments by minus a negative number, therefore increasing to infinity. What an idiot!
I tried ESC, but after 3 minutes, still no response. I hate hard rebooting it all the time. Should learn to be more careful at coding.

				If that makes you feel better, it happened to me once a while back, can't recall exactly how and what, but it did.
I am pretty sure i was using 10.04 and Linuxcnc 2.5.

				I got help from my linux guru.
In a terminal window:
top
...to get the number of the process stuck in the loop (Gmoccapy)
kill -9 xxxx (process number)
Linuxcnc errors out with the GUI killed, and you can restart LinuxCNC without a reboot.

				This is OT, but this week I took time out from my mini-lathe project to make a John Lennon statue for my wife

				Hi everyone,
I've been very busy the last couple of months due to Corona.
Here are my latest protective measures :
:
The cover was half the price last year:
www.aliexpress.com/item/32386329085.html...1.0.0.52034c4duhsWhv
A picture of the full assembly will follow tomorrow, as the paint is still wet.
Cheers
Hanno

				Are those Z axis bellows covers MAHO parts, or did you get the chinese to make them for you? My Maho could also do with a fig leaf to modestly cover her exposed parts
By the way, I screwed up and crashed the MAHO's slotting head (it is in my last lathe video...)
Doesn't appear to have caused any permanent damage to the MAHO or slotting head. Just the boring bar bent.

				Axis:
I had to swap the servo to the front-side, as the bellows cover was a little too big unfortunately
Now the servo is a little bit in the way, when adjusting the chuck.
I mechanically adjusted the Gear/Chuck etc. to be perfectly parallel to the table yesterday and installed everything.
Next step is to wire everything up and finally paint it green.
