Network support is the next thing I'd like to include, but it's unfortunately not that easy in a hardware-only design .

i will have a look at FlexiHAL, but FPGA's are not comparable to MCU's and i wanted to avoid to include a soft core

I have add UDP-Support via extrernal UDP2SPI Bridge, works :)

Great job. I have to admit that I only understand 10% (maybe) of what you are doing here. I really like the enthusiasm you are showing.

Could LinuxCNC-RIO also be an EtherCAT slave with something like this:
